Your Virtual Memories

What to include

Music:
Music choices can have a dramatic impact on your photo show. Many photo shows use well-known music chosen to match the era of the photos, reflect indiviudals' favorite songs, or create a specific tone or theme to a show. Well-chosen selections can be upbeat without being too light to accompany photographs of family members no longer with us. Some customers prefer classical music. You can supply Virtual Memories with your music CD or we can acquire specific songs for you for an additional cost. Virtual Memories respects all copyright laws, and also has an extensive royalty free music library as an option for your photo shows.
Kids can help:
Because the difficult and time-consuming technical and artistic steps are done by Virtual Memories, children as young as middle-school age love to participate in the review and selection of photographs, mementos, and music to be included in a photo show. Their proud involvement can be acknowledged in the custom titling and menu of the finished photo show. Kids are a great resource for coming up with song selections.
Voices:
The audio track for your photo show does not have to be limited to pre-recorded music. If you have digitized audio of the family singing “Happy Birthday”, the graduate playing her cello, a recording of a phone call from the old country, or music from the wedding, nothing could be more appropriate for your photo show. Contact Virtual Memories for assistance in digitizing recordings in whatever form you have them.
Video:
Many current digital cameras have video capability, sometimes with sound, sometimes without. And video from camcorders, digital or older, can be digitized. Brief video clips can be incorporated in your photo show, interspersed with the still photographs. If you don't have video from the occasion, consider using a brief new video clip as the introduction to each group of photos. For instance, a child or grandchild can read a brief introduction mentioning the place and date of the following photos.
Personalized and personalized:
Because every Virtual Memories photo show is a unique custom work, a photo show can be personalized twice: once by you as the source and spark of the photo show, and then a second time to individual recipients. For instance, a single collection of your photographs could be used with three different musical backgrounds, three different menus, three different titles, for three different recipients.
New photos for an old album:
Sometimes photos taken today can help to fill gaps in the story being told by your photo show. A new photograph could be of a child’s chair, a stuffed toy, a lock of hair, a favorite old book, an item of jewelry, silverware or glassware, a military medal or uniform item, or other heirloom. It will not only inspire memories as an original photograph would, but will add a touch of color to a sequence of black and white photographs.
Before and after:
Because a Virtual Memories photo show is appropriate both as a gift and as a commemoration, before and after photo shows make a lovely combination. For instance, a photo show given as an anniversary gift, with photos from years past, followed by a new photo show of photos from the anniversary celebration. The two gifts can be linked by their custom design.
