Photo show timeline

Please be realistic and farsighted about the timeline for your photo show production, if there is a deadline by which it must be ready. Depending on the size and complexity of the show, we typically need about 2-4 weeks for production, starting from the day all of your photos and other materials reach us. Be sure we know of any deadline before the project is quoted. We may be able to accommodate special time constraints at an additional cost. Start the process by completing our contact form.

All photos must be digitized (scanned) to be used in the photo show. Virtual Memories can scan your photos for you on our high-quality scanners. However, if you prefer to scan your own images, you'll need to start that process right away.

The consultation

You'll meet with Virtual Memories in person or on the phone to discuss your ideas in detail. We will always have a consultation. Every photo show is customized to your needs. In that consultation we will estimate the number of photos, songs, titles (captions) and the length of time of your photo show.

Music selections will also be determined during the consultation.

After the consultation, you'll receive a quote from Virtual Memories.

Photo show development

Virtual Memories begins by collecting and organizing the content.

• Photos and memorabilia are scanned, as needed
• Music is purchased, or selected from our ample royalty-free collections, if you do not privide us with your own music CDs.
• Content is loaded into our computer

With the materials in hand, Virtual Memories begins the process of creating your photo show.

Online review

A small segment of your photo show is converted to a Flash animation and uploaded to the web site for you to see. You'll be given a user id and password to be able to view it. (We don't want anyone else to see it and spoil the surprise!)

After you view it, we'll have another consultation to make sure your photo show is what you expect it to be.

Delivery and payment

When your photo show is complete, you will be invoiced for the final payment. Upon receipt of payment, your completed photo show will be delivered along with the return shipment of your photographs and other media.
