Long Valley Soccer Association (LVSA)

When the board of an entire club or league contracts for a Virtual Memory DVD of each team, the coaches are introduced to the idea, and learn of their role in the project when they receive the following letter from Virtual Memories.

August 2006

Dear Coach,

My name is Jackie Cronin and I am the owner of Virtual Memories. The Long Valley Soccer Association Board has asked me to provide my services for their kindergarten through 4th grade soccer teams this fall and is requesting all teams to consider participating.

Virtual Memories is offering a unique and affordable product to the teams this year. We will produce a keepsake DVD production of your teams' soccer season using parent's photos. We will professionally edit those photos to music making an entertaining show that will delight your players and their families. DVDs will be sold for $23.50 and every DVD sold will generate $3.00 for the LVSA.

Parents are always taking pictures at their child's games, but each team will need a photo coordinator to collect copies of those team photos, choose 50 of the best photos and submit them to Virtual Memories. As a Thank You for volunteering to be Photo Coordinator, they will be able to purchase their own copy for a reduced price of $15.00. A photo coordinator might be someone who likes to take photos and is computer savvy.

No extra work is needed on your part, other than to ask for a volunteer photo coordinator from your team and let parents take lots of pictures! The coordinator responsibilities are outlined in a separate letter. The photo coordinator will ask you to hold one practice with the children wearing their uniforms. This will enable parents to get on the field to take "action" pictures. We will also need one team picture with the coaches. But that's all that coaches will need to do. Please take a few minutes to read the photo coordinator letter that outlines their responsibilities so you can easily recruit a volunteer.
